Can You Put Coffee in a Blender Bottle

First off, the blender should non be damaged by the shells; if information technology is, information technology should have been replaced anyhow. The mass of the shells is simply not enough to impairment the blender in any significant fashion.

I would non, however, recommend eating the product, for a few reasons:

  1. You cannot exist confident that the egg shell has been completely pulverised. At some indicate, the blades terminate chopping the shell, and just spins information technology around
  2. Whenever using egg shells for presentation, they should be thoroughly cleaned and sterilized, because yous don't know what is coating it. Yous may very feasibly contract diseases from leaner on the trounce.

  • With regards to point 1, what'south incorrect with non completely pulverizing the trounce? I'd estimate any bits remaining would be very small, so what would the trouble be? Would they cut upward your digestive tract or something? Or just ruin the texture/mouthfeel of the eggs?

  • @chaosentity They would admittedly ruin the texture - they probably won't be that small, so it'll be similar eating eggs full of tiny rocks or sand. What you actually would want to do is blend it so they're not totally pulverized, so you tin can strain them out (or permit them fall to the lesser and waste product a bit of egg).

  • You might of course utilise a sieve to remove the pieces of shell, but the safety concerns would remain.

Earlier cholesterol became an issue for me I did this all the time. No harm to the blender nor, disallowment cholesterol, to me. I did get a small amount of vanquish dregs at the bottom of the cup (most a sand consistency).

Just be certain to wash the egg before tossing it into the blender :)
